JEWELERY CARE

Tanzanite Source experts advises that fine jewelry should be checked approximately every 6 months to ensure gemstones are safe and prongs are secure.

USAGE

Wearing jewelry while you shower, can make it appear dull and lifeless. Remove your jewelry before you shower and avoid contact of the jewelry with chlorine bleach, while in a pool or hot tub. Never wear your Jewelry that has Gemstones while doing rough or hard manual work. To protect the beauty of your jewelry, keep it in a separate box. Before putting it away, wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth to remove oils.

CLEANING

Clean your Jewelry regularly using jewelry cleaner, a mix of ammonia and water, or a mild detergent. The best way, is in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of ordinary dish detergent. Using an old toothbrush or a soft brush, scrub gently behind the stone where dust and soap collect. Then just rinse and pat dry with a soft cloth. Avoid touching cleaned diamonds with your fingers. Handle clean jewelry by its edges.

POLISHING

Based on how frequently you use your white/rose/yellow gold jewelry, they will need to be re-plated from time to time to keep it bright and shiny! The polishing of these gold colors tends to wear off due to the the friction from daily chores.Polishing can typically be done once a year at most local jewelers and is a standard, inexpensive process (~$25 or so).

MAINTAINING

Your color gemstones will always shine brilliantly if you take care of these exotic gems. We suggest you clean them periodically for the optimal look.

A home ultrasonic cleaner can be used to clean your gemstones in conjunction with a soft cloth to remove any accumulated dirt.
